AI won’t steal your job—right?

At least, that’s what they keep telling us. Every day, we hear it’s all great. Politicians say it’s great. Companies say it’s great. The media says it’s great. Don’t worry, they say, AI won’t steal your job. It’s just another tool. And like with every innovation before it, we will have plenty of opportunity to adapt. Farmers became factory workers. Factory workers moved to offices. But will today’s 3.5 million truck drivers really become AI specialists, after self-driving trucks take their jobs?

How many geniuses do you need to build a smart AI model like ChatGPT? How many programmers and IT administrators to maintain it? Just look at OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT! With only a few thousand employees, it serves over 200 million users each month and is valued at $157 billion. Compare that to AT&T, a company with a similar valuation and a workforce of around 150,000.

Do you see the problem? Let’s be honest. It is not only self driving cars and truck drivers. Are you really confident your role can’t be automated, transformed, or replaced? Because unlike before, this isn’t about changing how we do jobs. AI is creating a world where entire jobs will disappear. Like the truck driver or customer service agent. But these are only the ones that are obvious.

Imagine waking up to find that the job you’ve spent years mastering can now be done by a machine in seconds. Imagine realizing that your career is not only gone from your company. It’s vanished everywhere. No job. No way to provide for your family. No plan B.

Don’t think it can happen to you? Trust me it is already happening. Think about the white-collar professionals. They will also soon find their skills matched or outpaced by AI at a fraction of the cost.

The good news? There’s a way to stay indispensable.
